Donations
The Project will require 100 large private donor parties who can each donate at least 25,000 Euro in order to reach a target of 2.5 million Euro. It will be necessary to collect an equal sum from various public entities (matching funds) to reach the 5 million Euro currently needed to fund the project.

Since the EGF is a non-profit organization, you can make a tax deductible donation according to your country's laws.
If you are a citizen of U.S. or Canada and you want to make a donation for the Bologna Project, please contact the European Genetics Foundation () for detailed information on possible tax deductions in your own country.

If you are an Italian Citizen or an Italy based Company, according to law n. 35 of March 14, 2005 titled "Disposizioni urgenti nell'ambito del Piano di azione per lo sviluppo economico, sociale e territoriale", donations to a no-profit organization (Onlus) can be deductible if within 10% of the total declared income and no greater than 70,000 Euro annually.

If you are a US Citizen or a US based Company, you can make a tax deductible donation to ISSNAF, Italian Scientists and Scholars in North America Foundation, a nonprofit organization aimed at promoting projects of excellence in Italy and collaborations between North-American and Italian Institutions. ISSNAF selected the Progetto Bologna as the first project to be supported in Italy through fund-raising in North-America.
